Full Moon in Virgo

Today, opposite the Sun in the watery sign of Pisces, we find the Full Moon in earthy Virgo.

The Full Moon is always a time when anything that has been hidden, or has gone uninspected, becomes illuminated, and with the Moon in Virgo, the theme is around health, daily tasks and routines and our relationship to lack and abundance. As the Sun is in Pisces, the key here is to see how much emotional energy has gone into these areas. For instance, if your daily routine is “doable” for you, but it takes a heavy toll on you emotionally and energetically, what needs to shift in order to bring those two things a little more into balance? Or, if your mindset is one of lack (as though the Universe only has so much “good stuff” to offer so if someone else gets it, that means you won’t), does that mindset deplete you or enliven you?

This Moon is also opposite Neptune (also in Pisces which means it’s stronger as it is in its home sign), so working through these questions will require doing so from a place grounded in reality, otherwise the deluding nature of Neptune — like the force of maya — can confuse us into believing a fantasy that everything is either perfect or a disaster. The answer is generally somewhere in between, and so we must remember that Neptune also asks us to wake up to our higher selves, which can see the whole picture clearly and with far less emotional baggage and story.

As the Moon is also in beneficial relationship to Pluto (power) and Uranus (progress), this moon gives us the opportunity to powerfully progress towards more balance, ease and relief in whatever realm the Full Moon highlights for you — whether that’s the themes associated with Virgo mentioned above, or the part of your chart where Virgo is placed.

Ultimately, we need to ask ourselves these questions because the highest, most evolved version of Virgo is one of sharing and abundance (lots of Lakshmi vibes), and while sometimes we must suffer for the sake of another, that does not mean we should be consistently giving more than we can emotionally and psychologically handle and maintain.
