Full Moon in Scorpio & Lunar Eclipse

Here we are again with another Full Moon and another Eclipse that are pushing us to remove what no longer serves us — especially in the relational realms having to do with our propensities toward stagnating versus transforming.
As the Full Moon is in the sign of Scorpio, the emphasis is definitely on the transformation from the experience of being compelled by high reactivity, to choosing a space of embodied acceptance and surrender.

I’ve written in the previous post about the last Eclipse ushering in a new theme associated with the signs of Aries and Libra, but we’ve got one more pass after this through the Taurus/Scorpio axis before we can fully move on to the next cosmic lesson.
As we come to the end of a cycle, we like to believe that everything will be tied up for us in a neat little bow. That things will make sense. The Scorpio Full Moon, however, is here to remind us that sometimes endings are necessarily destructive because they are often the product of seeing the underbelly of truth that forces us to reckon with how we are betraying ourselves and/or others. (Given that this moon/eclipse is opposite Uranus, the likelihood of these revelations being unexpected is high.) These secrets coming to light are meant to happen because by acknowledging them, we are helping to destroy the part of us that wants to hang on to something which no longer serves us simply because it’s what we know. Holding on is a very primitive reaction that results in stagnation (Taurus) and obsession (Scorpio).
Eclipses are opportunities to make great shifts in energy and in direction. If we choose to be active in the process, we can tap into the evolved understandings of Taurus (fortitude) and Scorpio (power through surrender). Trying to maintain what was, and trying to deny the reality of what is happening, is more likely to result in primitive reactions because that effort is coming from a primitive place. It is a giving in to fear, which of course produces only more fear, thus provoking more grasping, stagnancy, suffering and so on.
This Full Moon will show you in what area of life this movement from primitive to evolved is most necessary.

On another level, this Full Moon/Eclipse illuminates how much energy we place on the material (Taurus) versus the immaterial (Scorpio). When one sign is opposite another, the tendency is to make swings from one energy to the other. This moon is an opportunity to see how both energies can be present at the same time, and how they can serve each other.
If you are obsessed with material things, there will always be a void that no amount of stuff can ever fill regardless of how hard you try. Conversely, if you are only concerned with diving into your unconscious, you will never be grounded enough to cultivate true transformation in your external life. The unconscious mind is played out in the material world, and the material world has a great impact on the unconscious mind. How can these two things inform and feed each other rather than obscure and steal?

Our whole self exists all the time, all at once. Cultivate the faith that if you allow space for all of it, the internal resonance will create the sense of wholeness that we all so desperately crave.
